Increase Your Social Performance

What if you …

  • Could Walk up to anyone and engage them in conversation?
  • Had a reputation as a warm interesting person?
  • Could inspire and motivate people?
  • Move with more confidence in competitive social situations?

Everybody wants these. Confidence, projection, and social competency – people work their whole lives on these. These are the skills needed to negotiate society.

Borrowing techniques from the performing arts and psychology I will help you practice skills in 3 areas:

   1. Feeling and projecting yourself confidently

   2. Thinking fast in social situations

   3. Being funny and playful

I used techniques such as roll playing, improvisation games, sketch comedy, story telling, guided imagery, critique. (interviews, public speaking, standup, karaoke)  Some of the material is specifically tailored to men or women.

There are many books on these subjects several good youtube channels with lots of material. But one doesn’t learn to play a sport, the piano, or anything by reading about it.  What causes noticeable tangible improvement in any skill is training with active participation and practice. Social situations are competitive and fast. You don’t get time to ponder and recall what you have read. Your behavior has to be instinctual. The only way to make it so is by training.

The activities I facilitate are hard and focused. But they are also fun and rewarding.  You will be working and contributing almost the entire session. Usually there is independent preparation required. Sometimes just watching a video, sometimes memorizing a short script, preparing jokes, a story, making rehearsal videos of yourself. I don’t waste time on things you can watch or read on your own. Think of it like a gym where there are exercise machines that require several participants to operate.

As a side benefit you will take away some videos of yourself that you may find useful in your professional or personal life.

The “Intro” events are free. Other events have specific requirements and costs. Some events are in-person in London and Madrid and some are zoom events. To stay informed of future workshops email me: Jim@TheJimPaul.com
